Don't know if I'm talented enough to make one of these braided bracelets but I sure might try. Addign this to my list of summer arts & crafts.

Where's Waldo? He's at UCO!
Three of them to be exact. I was leaving the UC on my way to class this morning and I walked past a table of Waldo's! They were asking for a $1 donation to take a photo with them. All proceeds go to the Make a Wish foundation! So if you're at UCO today, stop by their table and donate!

Who is the fairest of them all?
The first princess movie I ever saw was Snow White. And that being such, I was obsessed. I was a costume kid. You know those kids you see at Walmart wearing a Spiderman or Buzz Lightyear costume nowhere close to Halloween? That was me. I had a Snow White costume that I wore everywhere. And I remember I wanted a mirror as beautiful as the wicked step mother's mirror. It took me my whole life but I found one! All for the price of $1300. Who knew being the fairest of them all was so expensive?
This is exactly how my Saucony's make me feel.
I've been working out for a couple of weeks now and my Saucony minimalist shoes are the best. These are the Fast Switch and mine are Kinvara's. I wish mine said this on the bottom! Swag!

Power.
We had a speaker come to our blogging class today and talk about her successes with her blog. One thing that she said stuck with me. She was saying that just because she is more successful, she has not changed as far as the way she talks, behaves or even dresses. She said that "dressing up" to her meant jeans and a t-shirt. And when an older person who has worked in the corporate world saw her and maybe looked down on her, they would said "who are you? What makes you special?" She stressed to us that there is power in being yourself. Being a person as well as a business person.
From what I see, people rarely realize how much power they truly have. I even think that about myself sometimes. But in those small moments of thinking "what makes me special" I realize just that; I am special.
There is not on this earth another girl like me. And although others might beg to differ, quite frankly, I don't care what you think.
I am Shannon and I am powerful. I can do things that others wish they could do. When I heard Kanye say "no one man should have all that power" I knew he was talking about me. Because Kanye raps about me in most of his songs.
There are so many things that I want to accomplish and I know that I have the power to do so. I hope that everyone who reads this believes that they have power.

And no iPhone ever died again.
I know innovation when I see it. And this is revolutionary. Don't you think? New York designers Lloyd Gladstone and Jesse Pliner designed the Juice Tank case for the iPhone 4 and 4s. Basically, it's a phone case and an integrated wall charger.The first of it's kind. Kind of makes you think, "Why didn't I think of that?"
To charge your iPhone using the Juice Tank, all you do is put your phone in the case, press the button on the back to deploy the plug, and plug your phone into an outlet. No cords needed!
The designers of the Juice Tank have a Kickstarter page and are asking for donations to help begin production of the Juice Tank in time to ship Summer 2012. One of the designers showcases the Juice Tank in the video below. I plan on getting an iPhone in the Fall and this would be the PERFECT accessory for a girl on the go.
